about
The last track of our otherwise predominantly doomy debut album “elephant warp session” anticipates progressive, spacey and rather “life-affirming” spheres, which decisively influence our newer song material.
A tightly played verse with punch meets an aesthetic and sensitive refrain, which culminates in a monolithic instrumental part. Being mastered on tape, everything sounds a little “softer” and with a bit less clarity than the modern ear is accustomed to from current recordings. That was what we wanted; A contemporary approach to a sound similar to that from the 70 ies. Simple bass figures, driving and still precise drums, a pallet of varying guitar sounds and dominant, nevertheless sensitive vocal lines.
A “freigeist” tries, according to theory, to achieve wise and sustainable action through “large-scale” and “impartial” thinking. We are certain; this song contributes.
